How We Live: Happy New Year to each of you and your family! May the new year be filled with abundant good health, peace, ease and joy for All. In yoga philosophy, the term “sankalpa” means to set intentions from one’s heart and a solemn vow to manifest the heart intention. But the difference between traditional new year’s resolutions and sankalpas is that when we create a sankalpa, we start from a place of remembering our divine wholeness, worthiness and goodness. We are not trying to eliminate our inadequacies or imperfections but rather embrace and live more from our highest Self. In other words, some of our shortcomings and suffering stem from not owning our divine wholeness.
