As we await the arrival of Valentine’s Day, I am reminded of the phase: “May you remember how deeply you are loved.” It is a sentiment I often heard my beloved Mother say to me & my tribe of nine siblings. This phase is also one that a yoga philosophy teacher of mine has often repeated as well. Sometimes we forget, don’t we? And sometimes the challenges of life & hurts we experience leave us feeling unloved & perhaps unloveable. That’s when we can turn to the breath to help us realign with divine energy deep within us. Each breath invites us to remember the grounding & spaciousness of love. The inhale invites us to remember our wholeness, strength & resiliency & the exhale, our capacity for spaciousness, patience & compassion.
