In yoga, the word for “studentship” is “adhikara.” Adhikara literally means authority or ownership of a body of knowledge. It is in itself the Art of Knowing, being studied. Adhikara can also be translated as competent readiness.
Self-Care is also a practice to keep us in balance, to relieve stress, pain & suffering & to be more skillful at navigating the challenges of life. The practices of massage & craniosacral treatments are indeed valuable when we are experiencing pain but also most beneficial to keep us balanced, healthy, & peaceful. The practices of yoga & meditation invite us to remember and live from our divine wholeness & goodness; and express who we truly are & to live our gifts & talents.
